Is It A Business Or Just A Hobby?

Are you treating your business like a business or just like another one of your hobbies. I hear all the time from folks that they are not getting the results they want out of their businesses. And my response to that is. Are you putting in the effort required to truly build the kind of business you want.

For some unknown reason to me some folks think that if they try something that they have been taught one time on say a training call or maybe on a webinar and it does not get them instant results that it just does not work.

This is one of the biggest business killers there is. Face it you started a "Business" You need to treat it like one. You have to put the required time and effort into every aspect of that business. Here Are some ideas that may help you manage time and help you be more productive.

 1. Find what time is best for you to do certain RPA's (revenue producing activities) and then block that time out for those activities everyday. Weather it be writing or placing ads or whatever your RPA's are be sure to have the time blocked out everyday for those activities.

2. Group your daily errands. We all have daily things we must do ie: go to the grocery store the barber ect.. though many of us go out several times a day to get these little chores done. But if you group your trips together and say get two or three of those little errands done at the same time walla more time for you to concentrate on things that are going to make you money.

3. Change your working environment. Don't allow yourself  to do all of you tasks in one place. Find the places where you are most productive in certain areas of your business. Say for instance you can be more focused on your writing at your favorite coffee shop, then by all means you should be doing your writing there, when your reading weather it be reading for research or training or just for pleasure you should be somewhere without distractions thus to remain focused on the task at hand.

The Point of this is to show that the more structure you have with in your life it will play through to your business. If you treat your business like a hobby then that is the kind of results you will get. If you don't take your Business serious no one else will either.

Have A great day and make it a productive one.

Facebook Marketing (What Not To Do)

Marketing on facebook has become one the most commonly used techniques by On Line marketers. The problem with this is that their is a great deal of marketers that just have no clue how to effectively use this venue for marketing their product of service.

I participate in several On Line marketing groups on facebook and have come across some very blatant self promoters that frankly make me question their abilities to do anything other then spam other peoples pages with their offer. To me this is just pure laziness if you have no real value to add to a group you might want to maybe read some of the other posts and learn a little about adding quality and value to someone else.

Sure we all have to start somewhere but for me the fastest way to turn someone away from what you have to offer is to constantly pitch your offer without even taking any steps towards creating a relationship with whoever you are trying to offer your product or service to.

For me making connections on facebook is first and foremost to add value and quality content for others to learn more as to enhance their own experience to farther grow and develop their own marketing skills.

And truth be told if you are one of the few that I have come across that is one of the blatant spamers it's all good but ask yourself this one question. Am I really making the most of the opportunity to connect with like minded people who may actually benefit from what it is that I have to offer?

Using facebook for marketing your product or service is an incredible resource use it wisely and it will greatly enhance your exposure to the audience you wish to be in front of.

Enjoy have fun and make the most of the opportunities in front of you.
